To push myself creatively and personally, I committed to spending the month of June illustrating typography posters.
Typography has always been a subsection of graphic design and illustration that I was always inspired and fascinated by. There is something to be said about a well-illustrated quote that cannot be explained. So, I decided to venture into the unknown and try my hand at an art form I have only admired from afar.
So, at the beginning of June, I created a spreadsheet outlining my project and set a few ground rules for myself:
1. Illustrate one poster every day
2. Post the poster on Instagram (this is to eventually eliminate my rejection anxiety that people won't like my work)
The goal was that by the end of June, I would have gained confidence as an individual and an artist and proved to myself that I am capable of creative discipline and a calm mind.
